About Vethnography…
¶ What is VethnoGraphy? Veterinary + Ethno + Graphy = the study of veterinary (agricultural) infrastructure and its role in society, with a particular focus on different cultural practices, societal preferences, and technology development.
¶ Vethnography is an online publication dedicated to exploring the role of agriculture as a resource in society and the effects agricultural systems can have on various sectors, such as: public health infrastructure, political and economic stability, environmental policy and land use, and technology development. Further, VG is also an exploration into agriculture’s role in conflict, security, and crisis, as well as implications to intra- and international trade. In short, this site is meant as a repository of research, ongoing projects and thought pieces regarding agriculture as a societal resource as well as the application of emerging technology to support the agriculture sector, one health initiative, and international infrastructure development.
